Means of Transport in Athens

The supply of cheap flights to Athens is very large, although more and more tourists choose to travel in the Greek Islands cruise.

In Athens a taxi ride can cost less than 3 €, but some drivers do not want to bother with these trips, due to lower their profitability. Avoid using the “special” or “radio”, since you do not give a direct fee. A taxi ride to the airport costs between 10-15 €.

The Athens metro is cheap and efficient. Undoubtedly, to reach or leave Pireaus, this transport is the best option.

Shopping in Athens

Athens, the capital of Greece, not only has thousands of cultural attractions, historical and fun, but also a place where shopping is a large part of the trip. The large number of shops spread all over the guarantee that you will be able to find whatever you need, plus all kinds of gifts and souvenir trinkets.

The most important trade route is certainly Ermou, the main street, although it has some of Europe’s most expensive rents, the shops are often the best known brand-name chain and it gives an extra plus.

Tours in Greece – Part Two

As I said many times you hang up the backpack and decide on the fly which will make excursions or visits, but sometimes organziar in advance is good to get us off the concerns and have one or two trips and organized in the manga. At least for the first few days.

Here goes then the second part of our selection of tours in Greece

1. Half Day Tour to Corinth. It is the ruins of the old city more than the canal.

2. Tour Bus 400. Is the option to travel easily Athens, taking photos and drinking a soda. Only costs 5 € per day and visit the main attractions. Operate only in tourist season, April to October.

Kefallonia

The largest of the islands of the Ionian sea offers generously to a handful of experiences, ranging from laid back relaxing to energetic active. There are many things to do here and many places to choose from – so many that one must visit the island more than once if you want it all. Argolis

It is the province (nomos) of more archaeological Peloponnese (Corinth, Nemea, Mycenae, Argos, Tiryns and Epidaurus). The capital of the province is Nafplio (Nafplion), which was the first capital of Greece between 1828 and 1834.

From 1600 to 1100 a. C. Mycenaean civilization to the Argolid was the heart of Greece. At this time the city was Argos, eternal rival of Sparta.

In the Gulf of Argolis stands Nafplio, the capital of Argolis, and one of the most beautiful cities in Greece. It was the first capital of Greece between 1829 and 1834.

Flights to Crete – Have you not yet visited this amazing island, so it’s time. It is a journey you will never forget as Crete has so much to offer, both culturally and naturally. When you come to the island, do not cheat yourself to spend at least one of your holidays to rent a car or a scooter. There are some super nice beaches on the island and then there are the great mountain range which runs across the island, which you must cross en route. “Omme on the other side” is really cool attractions like. Samaria Gorge and Elafonissi beach, which is so nice, friendly and delicious that you should visit it to understand it.

The Island of Syros

The island of Syros is an important commercial and cultural center of Greece. It combines an elegant character and numerous historical and archaeological monuments with beautiful nature that include beaches, landscapes and charming villages.
