Visit Greece Islands

The Greek islands are one of those destinations that are worth knowing. The truth is that it is a beautiful place with breathtaking scenery, blue waters and plenty of history behind it.

Many travel agencies organize cruises to the Greek islands and the truth is there is no doubt that is one of those experiences that are worthwhile. In total, the archipelago is made up of 56 islands, although not all are inhabited.

From the travel blog, you talk about some of the islands most important, you should not miss if you decide to take a trip through this area.

* The island of Naxos is the largest of the Cyclades, and throughout history has been one of the most important Cycladic civilization. The island has many forts, most of them built in the thirteenth century. The capital of Naxos has four distinct areas: the medieval, old town, port and Nea Chora, which is a newly built area in which there are many apartments.
* The island of Amorgos is characterized by its elongated shape and is more oriented around the archipelago. Worth a stroll along the harbor and enjoy a drink in one of its pubs.
* On the island of Paros can find three points dest: the capital, Paroikia, Lefkada and Náousa. This town is one of the tourist, standing for a port in which there are plenty of luxury yachts. A curious fact: the breakwater is a Venetian castle collapsed.
* The island of Santorini is perhaps one of the most famous of the archipelago. Island Bay, beaches of black sand, is actually a flooded crater. It is worth visiting the ruins of Akrotiri and the village of Oia.
